Catch up on Questions #1-5 (especially #5 because it does the groundwork for this question).

Each in the Dating Journal Questions peels back a layer to the way we interact in a relationship. The following questions are very important if you are looking to create and have a healthy relationship. Please do at least #5, but ideally #1-5, to be able to make bigger realizations and shifts for your highest good and optimal healing.

Question #6

How do you interpret love?

  • Think of your longest or most serious relationship, how did you know your partner loved you?
    • How did they show love?
    • And when did you feel loved? (These don’t have to be the same.)
    • Give examples.
  • Think of your most difficult/unhealthy/toxic relationship (you may be in this now or it may be the same as above), how did you know your partner loved you?
    • How did they show love?
    • And when did you feel loved? (These don’t have to be the same.)
    • Give examples.
  • Do any of the times you felt loved, listed above, seem unhealthy?
    • For example, did you feel loved when your partner was jealous, controlling, clingy, angry, or desperate?
      • From your answers above, how do you interpret love?ย In other words, what behaviors feel like love to you?
      • Are these the behaviors you want to make up your ideal relationship?

  1. I think looking at questions like this help you appreciate people you’ve had in your life. It can pertain to every relationship you have ever had. For instance, I know I can be a selfish lover and at times I have to stop and really think about my actions.
